14.) How do you find the surface area of a rectangular pyramid?

In order to determine the surface area of a pyramid, you must add the area of the base to the sum of the areas of all of the triangular faces.

The lateral area of a rectangular pyramid is half the product of the perimeter of the base and the slant height.

L.A. =1/2 pl, where p = the perimeter and l = slant height

The surface area of a rectangular pyramid is the sum of the lateral area and the area of the base.

S.A. = L.A.+ B
